President – Kalena Dai
HEY MSJ WARRIORS!! I’m Kalena Dai, and I’m excited to rerun for ASB President this year! Having successfully led as your Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Class President, I’ve dedicated over 300 hours to planning homecoming, established effective class communication channels, and organized numerous fundraisers. My unique experience in Leadership II enables me to effectively manage the class and collaborate with committees. As a member of the Community Committee, I’ve also organized the blood drive, canned food drive, and crafted 2000 destress goodie bags, further demonstrating my commitment to our community. As the only candidate with 3 years of experience as president and 1 semester of Leadership II, I am more than prepared to ensure we have our best year yet!

President – Rex Kuo
The great general and military strategist Sun Tzu once proclaimed, “Victory comes from finding opportunities in problems.” On that thought, I also aim to become a general, not the leader of an army, but rather, the leader of my school. My name is Rex Kuo and I’m running for ASB President for the 2025-2026 academic term. With the start of a new year comes a new opportunity for change. This year, I want to be able to truly connect with the student body and through your input, make beneficial decisions that value your ideas. I want to dedicate my time to ensure MSJ students get a voice in how our school is run. Nevertheless, nothing worth it is ever easy to accomplish, but through trials and tribulations, we can learn, as Mission San Jose’s student body, to confront obstacles and grow as a community. Let’s make 2025 a great year!
President – Jadon Li
Hey MSJ! I’m Jadon Li and thank you for all the support so far as I run to serve as your ASB president! As the class president of 2027, I know it can be difficult to find scattered information like club meetings, fundraisers, study guides, tutors, tryouts, and game schedules. My goal is to ensure that information is centralized for easy access, providing resources so we can lock in and follow our passions. I’ve led large events such as Homecoming and, through my leadership in multiple clubs, have become skilled at organizing bulk information from vendors, feedback forms, and funds. My experience as a co-captain of the JV Basketball Team has taught me the importance of communication, so I plan to implement consistent feedback and suggestion opportunities so your opinions are always heard. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me @jadonli09 or jadonli2020@gmail.com!
Vice President – Vittesh Maganti
As a candidate for ASB Vice President, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work for our school. I aim to support our school’s vibrant community of over 90 clubs by providing the necessary tools; I will prioritize efficiency and inclusivity in every aspect of this role, from leading club council meetings to assisting with fundraising. During Maze Day, I will work diligently to make the locker assignment process seamless and stress-free by organizing collaborative efforts and ensuring thorough preparation. Looking ahead, I am eager to bring new ideas to the role, such as creating a “Club Resource Hub,” a shared digital space where clubs can access templates, guides, fundraising tips, and event planning resources. I will be ready for any challenges that arise and aim to create a school environment where students feel empowered to succeed and contribute to our community.
Vice President – Prahlad Vangeepuram Canchi
Hey Warriors! My name is Prahlad V Canchi and I’m running to be YOUR 2025-2026 ASB Vice President. You’ve probably seen me onstage during Homecoming as Gru, Kronos, or Joker, in one of the 3+ airbands I’ve participated in, or emceeing assemblies and leading activities. After gaining leadership experience from organizing Homecoming and conducting all of the terrific school activities in the first semester, I will put my learnings from being the Junior Class VP and a member of L2’s A-team to good use as ASB VP. You have a club you want to get passed? I’ll help you without delay! If you want the ONLY candidate with vast leadership experience, who consistently exhibits school spirit, and who will give you a great upcoming school year, make sure you vote PV4VP!
Secretary – Jeffrey Li
Hi MSJ! I’m Jeffrey Li, and I was sophomore class secretary and now I’m back to run to be YOUR ASB secretary. My main goal is to help MSJ students fulfill their college and career goals by providing opportunities like community service events, internships, and an alumni network. Struggling in a class? Need service hours? Unsure of what activities to do? WIth me as secretary, not only can you consult resources to resolve these issues, but real, experienced people can also help. But what about my qualifications? I’m the Vice President of 3 clubs: Academic Challenge, Math, and Physics. I’m also a Science Olympiad Captain and have experience in DECA, Robotics, and STEM competitions (USAJMO/USAPHO), winning international awards in them. I’m organized, dedicated, and a community leader, and I hope to bring the best possible 2025-26 school year MSJ. For more information on my campaign, visit tinyurl.com/jliforasb
Secretary – Brittany Lu
Hi Warriors! I’m Brittany Lu, and I’m running to be YOUR ASB Secretary! As Junior Class Secretary, I’ve gained experience managing events like HOCO and Prom, making sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has a great time. On campus, you’ll find me presenting at DECA workshops, on the court with the Varsity Volleyball team, editing Smoke Signal articles, and helping run other clubs! You’ll also find me selling pizookies or Tisane boba as part of L2’s fundraising committee, where I’ve worked with our current ASB President and VP, learning from them what it takes to lead effectively.
Through these experiences and from running my own business, I’ve learned how to work with others, organize events, and bring my creative ideas to life. Whether it’s Prom or a Brawl Stars Tournament, I’m committed to making it all amazing.
Vote Brittany Lu for ASB Secretary—because Brittany Lu is the one for you!
Treasurer – Angel Li
HEY MSJ!! I’m Angel Li and I’m running to be YOUR ASB Treasurer.
As Treasurer, not only will I responsibly handle all my duties, from managing the student store to requisitions to using after-school hours to communicate with Ms. Forsythe, I will also combine innovation and technology to digitize school processes using existing software and coding! As an ASB Officer, I will work to create lots of great high-school memories and am excited for the opportunity to grow as a leader
Because I am actively involved around campus—clubs and band and ASB/freshmen/sophomore treasurer, I am committed to carrying out my responsibilities with the attitude of serving my community, each and every one of you, freshmen to senior.

Treasurer – Justin Wu
Hey MSJ! My name is Justin Wu and I am running for ASB Treasurer for the 2025-2026 school year. I have been heavily involved in the school and am enthusiastic to drive our school year to success. The biggest responsibility for the ASB Treasurer is generating funds in order to host school events and decorations. With past qualifications including being a part of the student store, being a licensed business owner doing over $400k+ in sales this past year, and being the Junior class treasurer, I WILL ensure that our school’s finances will NOT be a problem. Plans that I envision in the future include creating Stussy-inspired school merch, generating revenue through corporate sponsors, and of course fulfilling all my essential responsibilities.
Activities Coordinator – Zach Kuo
My name is Zach Kuo, and I’m a sophomore. I grew up in Colorado and moved to Fremont, California quite recently. Culturally, this was a big surprise for me: education was a lot more rigorous, people dressed differently, and people did things differently around here. Mission is probably most infamous for its arduous and grueling academics, but who wants to study and work all the time? It’s good to keep balance between your student and personal life to preserve excellent mental and physical health. My sole goal in the 2025-2026 school year is to make school a lot more fun. I want my activities to bring smiles on everybody’s faces. Already, I can see my infectious energy and animated spirit positively affect the school. However, I hope to achieve more inclusivity, as well as a further sense of belonging and togetherness as we push through the trials of high school.
Activities Coordinator – Jennifer Li
Hey Warriors! My name is Jennifer Li, and I’m running to be YOUR ASB Activities Coordinator. You might have seen me at school running games and karaoke in the BTQ, emceeing assemblies, and proudly bringing school spirit to every event. As part of Leadership 2’s activities committee, I’m the ONLY candidate who has worked along the current AC to coordinate and run every single one of this year’s fantastic activities, from the Brawl Stars tournament to the 10-foot Burmese python. That’s right, if I can bring a giant exotic reptile to Mission, you can trust I’m capable of anything when it comes to activities. Most importantly, I listen to you guys to bring you fun, unforgettable activities you actually enjoy, and I promise to continue doing so in the next school year. VOTE JLi4AC!! 🙂
Activities Coordinator – Daojing Lin
Hey Warriors! My name is Daojing Lin, and I am running to be your ASB Activities Coordinator. In this position, I plan on bringing back events from previous years like the Brawl Stars tournament as well as the widely popular petting zoos, and I also intend on bringing new and fresh ideas, one of them being a Squid Game week where every day during lunch, we’ll play a different game from the drama! As an ASB officer, my sole mission will bring some rays of joy into the horrid environment that is our school. Some of my leadership qualifications consist of Boy Scouts, MSJ Japan Club, DECA, and a variety of smaller nonprofits. Throughout these extracurricular, I’ve been able to amass over 400 hours of community service, 200 hours of leadership and organization, and dozens of successful events planned. I hope I can count on your vote, and Go MSJ!
